This just in from Aotearoa NZ Association for Biblical Studies, regarding their Annual Meeting (Conference) in December. More details of the conference itself in our event stream (click button below) if you think attendance rather than presenting is your style, but I’d encourage you to consider presenting – you could surprise yourself. The STAANZ CfP is now at the bottom of this post; though it appears that their CfP is almost identical to ANZABS CfP.
Please find attached the call for papers (CFP) for our 2024 conference on the 2-3rd of December which will be hosted at Carey Baptist College in Auckland. We would love to hear from you about your current research questions and discoveries!
Continuing our successful pattern from last year there will be two streams, one of traditional 20 minute academic papers (no set theme) and one of Hui-Talanoa presentations on the theme of ‘Interweaving Biblical Hermeneutics in Aotearoa and Oceania.’ If you are not sure which stream you should present in, don’t hesitate to ask.
Please especially encourage graduate students to present their research, we strive for a welcoming and encouraging environment for everyone.
There is also a separate call for papers for STAANZ (Systematic Theology Association of Aotearoa New Zealand) who will be holding their annual conference concurrently with ours. Attendees of either conference can attend the papers of both conferences. So, we look forward to a fruitful time of interdisciplinary cross pollination.
An addendum to the CFP is that those attending online can please pay the reduced registration fee of $25 (waged only, free for students, superannuitants, etc) by bank deposit in the ANZABS account 12-3125-0475839-00, using your surname as reference.
