Bible Month 2025: Engaging with the Bible – Research, Insight, and Action

Join us for a special AELP (Auckland Ecumenical Lay Preachers) gathering featuring Steve McRobie, Relationships Director with Bible Society New Zealand. Steve will present findings from over 15 years of national research on how New Zealanders engage with Scripture—conducted in partnership with Nielsen—and what it means for spiritual life and church health today.

We’ll explore:

• What the research says about Bible reading in Aotearoa
• What it means for our churches, families, and communities
• How we can encourage deeper, more meaningful Bible engagement—starting with ourselves

There’ll be time for kōrero/talanoa, questions, and practical reflection. Arrive early for tea and hospitality.
