Have you ever considered contributing to a biblical studies conference? The idea might feel daunting — but it’s more accessible than you think.
The Aotearoa New Zealand Association for Biblical Studies (ANZABS) is now inviting proposals for its 28th Annual Meeting in December. This is a space where scholars, students, ministers, and independent thinkers gather to explore the Bible in all its richness and complexity.
Many Lay Preachers engage deeply with Scripture, and some already have experience with academic-style writing through training or theological study. If that’s you — or if you’re curious — this could be a wonderful opportunity to shape and share your insights. Whether you present a paper or simply attend, the conference is welcoming and intellectually generous.
