AUT’s Yael Cameron, Jon Hoskin and a colleague of theirs, Vernon Cisney from Gettysburg College, are editing a book in the Theology, Religion and Popular Culture series (Series editor Matthew Brake). Their current foray is to collect theological, biblical, and other religious studies’ of the Mad Max film cult classic and its sequels. The CfP is attached via the link below, and includes possible chapter topics and some discussion on possible approaches. The book will be published by Bloomsbury.

Please send a 300-500 word abstract, accompanied by a brief CV including publications, to yael.cameron@aut.ac.nz by June 1, 2025. Acceptance notifications will be sent out June 20, 2025. Manuscripts are due on Dec 1, 2025.
If nothing else, this sounds like a good excuse to spend some time on Netflix!
